A 29-year-old Allentown<\/a> man was killed Friday night after being hit by a car, according to police.<\/p>\n

City Police Capt. Christopher Diehl said officers responded just before 8 p.m. Nov. 21, to the 2400 block of South Fourth Street. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said the victim was struck and run over by a vehicle.<\/p>\n

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township<\/a>, where he was pronounced dead at 8:43 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n

The Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office<\/a> is withholding the identity of the deceased until an autopsy is completed on Monday.<\/p>\n

The incident remains under investigation by the Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County District Attorney\u2019s Office and Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
