Warren, PA – The Warren County YMCA held its first-ever Thanksgiving Blessing Box distribution this week after receiving a large donation from several local organizations, including Targeted Pet Treats.<\/p>\n
Community members and YMCA employees worked together to fill more than 100 boxes for local residents in need.<\/p>\n
Each box contains non-perishable items for a full Thanksgiving meal, along with a ten-dollar gift card.<\/p>\n
Event coordinator Jennifer Suppa said, \u201cOur community is so giving, and whenever I ask people for things a lot of members are really generous. We’ve been collecting the groceries for the last three weeks. It feels good that we’re going to be able to help people. I originally thought we’d do like twenty-five to thirty boxes. And now we’re at over a hundred.\u201d<\/p>\n
There will be another pickup for community members Tuesday, November 25th from 9:00AM until 3:00PM at the Warren County YMCA on Lexington Avenue. Community members who are interested or in need of assistance can contact the Warren YMCA at 814-726-0110 or stop by their location.<\/p>\n
