MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. – Authorities have released the identity of a woman killed in an apparent wrong-way crash on Route 222 in Muhlenberg Township.<\/p>\n
93-year-old Elizabeth Brewer of Spring Township died Friday night following an accident that shut down the southbound lanes of 222 between routes 61 and 183.<\/p>\n
Initial reports indicated a car was driving the wrong way on Route 222 at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n
The Berks County Coroner’s Office says Brewer died of multiple blunt force trauma and that her manner of death was accidental.<\/p>\n
Police investigating the accident have not said whether Brewer was the driver of the wrong-way vehicle or if anyone else was injured.<\/p>\n
