SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 Scranton officials announced on Monday that a Code Blue will be in place for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.<\/p>\n
The Lackawanna County Emergency Management Agency and the City of Scranton declared a Code Blue Frigid Weather Alert for Thursday, November 27, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Friday, November 28, then again at 8:00 p.m. on Friday until 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29.<\/p>\n
A Code Blue is issued when temperatures drop below 20\u00b0 and is how officials communicate to residents when frigid temperatures will impact the City of Scranton.<\/p>\n
