The winners of Reading\u2019s Holiday Parade competition have been announced.<\/p>\n
The parade showcased a wealth of talent and creativity, according to a release announcing the winners and thanking the participants.<\/p>\n
Participants competed in three categories: marching bands, performance and floats.<\/p>\n
The following winners were announced:<\/p>\n
Best band<\/p>\n
\u2022 Reading High School Marching Band<\/p>\n
\u2022 Twin Valley High School Band<\/p>\n
\u2022 Wyomissing Junior\/Senior High School Marching Band<\/p>\n
Best performance<\/p>\n
\u2022 Millersville University Dance Team<\/p>\n
\u2022 Roxy\u2019s Dance Expressions<\/p>\n
\u2022 Reading High School Dance Team<\/p>\n
Best float<\/p>\n
\u2022 Reading Area Water Authority<\/p>\n
\u2022 Arrows Christian Academy<\/p>\n
\u2022 Rajah Shrine Hospital Services Unit<\/p>\n
The city added a special thank you to judges: Todd Migliaccio, vice chancellor and chief academic officer, Penn State Berks; Erica Caceres, advancement communication coordinator, Albright College; and Payton Mentzer, council of trustees, Kutztown University.<\/p>\n
City officials commended the winners and all participants for their outstanding contributions to making the parade a success.<\/p>\n
