LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – Jeff Mabry has touched down in the Lehigh Valley for Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n
He is traveling in from New Mexico.<\/p>\n
“It was good. I was amazed. I thought I would be overwhelmed with thousands of people,” said Mabry.<\/p>\n
“Travel was great. It was really easy,” said Lori Schaeffer.<\/p>\n
Schaeffer came from Georgia to spend turkey day with family in Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n
She said there is a lot to look forward to.<\/p>\n
“Relaxing, seeing family, coming back and seeing some old faces. Both my husband and I went to school here, so just revisiting the old times,” said Schaeffer.<\/p>\n
Robert and Logan Labarre are departing for Bradenton, Florida.<\/p>\n
“I have family down there. Last year we went down over New Years. This year we’re doing Thanksgiving and most likely Easter,” said Robert LaBarre.<\/p>\n
Around 2,000 travelers are expected to come through Lehigh Valley International Airport Tuesday, according to airport spokesperson Colin Riccobon.<\/p>\n
“Certainly, today is the busiest travel day here at ABE and then into the weekend it will be Saturday, Sunday when we see the uptick of people returning to the area,” said Riccobon.<\/p>\n
He said if you are flying out for Thanksgiving to give yourself plenty of time.<\/p>\n
