ALLENTOWN, Pa. \u2014 The body of an Allentown man was pulled from the Lehigh River on Thursday, hours after witnesses saw him jump from a bridge in the city, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old, who was not immediately identified, jumped from the Tilghman Street Bridge around 12:40 p.m., according to a news release from the Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
His body was recovered around 4:15 p.m. and he was pronounced dead 30 minutes later, Coroner Dan Buglio said. The river was about 10 feet deep where his body was located, he said.<\/p>\n
The man has been identified; Buglio said he would release his name after an autopsy is completed Friday.<\/p>\n
