ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Two men charged in the shooting death of a Berks County man in Center City Allentown are heading to trial.<\/p>\n
At a preliminary hearing held yesterday, Jason Gonzalez and Garfield McLean Jr., both from Allentown, were held for court on all charges.<\/p>\n
Just before 6 p.m. on October 1 of this year, Allentown Police were called to the 100 block of N. 8th Street for a reported shooting.<\/p>\n
Arriving officers found 24-year-old Jahlik Colon, from Temple, Berks County, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
The two suspects were arrested less than two hours after the incident and police credit the city’s surveillance and plate reader technology, as well as reports from the community, with aiding in their capture.<\/p>\n
