SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A Lehigh County church is opening its doors for the community to come and enjoy a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Volunteers at Jordan United Church of Christ in South Whitehall Township are busy preparing to serve hundreds a homecooked meal.<\/p>\n
“Last night I was here, I started the first round of turkeys slow roasting over night,” said Dianne Mattias Rodriguez, organizer and church member.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Complete with all the fixings.<\/p>\n
“Stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, broccoli, what’d I forget? corn,” said LeAnn Kriner, a church member and volunteer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Two dozen people came out to the church Wednesday to cook, clean, and set the table for their annual free community Thanksgiving dinner.<\/p>\n
“There will be 65 volunteers or more tomorrow,” said Ann Royer, another church member and volunteer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
