single-vehicle crash on Flint Hill Road<\/a>, just east of the intersection with Forest Drive,\u00a0Monday night at approximately 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\nThe cause of death is being withheld pending further investigation by the coroner’s office, according to the\u00a0news release.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0coroner’s office said the man has been identified and next of kin have been notified.<\/p>\n
“However, due to the sudden and unexpected nature of this tragedy, I am not releasing the individual’s name at this time to allow the family the opportunity to mourn privately,” county Coroner Daniel Buglio said.<\/p>\n
Two other people were injured in the crash. Police say a 20-year-old man sustained a head injury. A woman, 22, sustained an undetermined injury.<\/p>\n
They were taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was traveling eastbound at approximately 30 mph when the tires\u2014described by the operator as being in \u201cpoor condition\u201d\u2014lost traction, according to a news release from the\u00a0Upper Saucon Township Police Department.<\/p>\n
Police said the car spun sideways and collided with a utility pole on the opposite side of the roadway.<\/p>\n
Investigators saw that the vehicle\u2019s tires were found to be significantly worn, township police said. The car, which sustained disabling damage after wrapping around the utility pole, was removed by tow truck, according to officials.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the\u00a0Upper Saucon Township Police Department, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are jointly investigating the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"U.
