Erie Mayor Joe Schember announced the recipients of the 2025 Erie Flagship Fund on Monday at his press conference.<\/p>\n
The funds can be up to $5,000 to help assist small businesses within the Erie area.<\/p>\n
This year, just over $148,000 was awarded to 38 businesses.<\/p>\n
Two recipients of the fund, Casey Corritore, the owner of Casey\u2019s Ice Cream Cart, and Max Weber, the co-founder of Shop Hero Dashboard, said they are grateful for what the city is able to do to help them.<\/p>\n

The city loves ice cream.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s amazing,\u201d Weber said. \u201cI mean, the mayor and the state of Pennsylvania have done a great job supporting small businesses. We\u2019re excited to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n The fund comes from interest on the city\u2019s revolving loan funds.<\/p>\n The city does a Flagship Fund for both the spring and fall for applicants who want to apply.
