Caring and Sharing is a year-round program most associated with the holiday season. A districtwide Winter Food Drive and community donations support the program. Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to be a part of this community effort!<\/p>\n<p>BC Winter Food Drive and Holiday Community Donations<\/p>\n<p>All schools are collecting shelf-stable food items to support the BC Caring and Sharing Program through Dec. 12, 2025. The Caring and Sharing program assists families in the school community who may be struggling to make ends meet by providing food and grocery gift cards for the December holiday break and throughout the school year.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nView the list below for the items your child\u2019s school will be collecting. (Some schools are using a classroom-specific donation list so if you have questions about what to donate, please reach out to your child\u2019s school.)\u00a0 There will also be a \u201cDrive Up, Drop Off\u201d day for food donations at the high school on Friday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.<br \/>\nIf you are a community member or business who would like to make a cash or gift card donation, please contact Sherri Fitzpatrick in the district\u2019s Student Support Services department at 518-439-8886 or by email at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethlehemschools.org\/donate-and-help-community-families-this-holiday-season\/mailto:sfitzpatrick2@bethlehemschools.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sfitzpatrick2@bethlehemschools.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>What items are being collected?<\/p>\n<p>Rice<br \/>\nDry pasta<br \/>\nPasta\/Spaghetti sauce<br \/>\nInstant potatoes<br \/>\nBrownie mix<br \/>\nCanned vegetable (beans, peas, corn)<br \/>\nCookie mix<br \/>\nCanned fruit (peaches, pears, etc.)<br \/>\nPeanut butter<br \/>\nFruit cocktail<br \/>\nGrape jelly<br \/>\nStuffing mix (pork, chicken, turkey)<br \/>\nPudding mix<br \/>\nBisquick<br \/>\nCanned soup (tomato, chicken noodle, etc.)<br \/>\nBreakfast cereal<br \/>\nCanned tuna fish<br \/>\nDried fruits<br \/>\nToilet paper<br \/>\nPaper towels<br \/>\nBoxed tissues<\/p>\n<p>Caring and Sharing-Assistance for the Holidays<\/p>\n<p>If you are a family in the district who could use assistance this year or you know of a district family that could benefit, please share this information. Families who want to receive the Caring and Sharing food items and grocery gift cards can reach out to a school nurse or school counselor. Any family enrolled in the backpack program has been placed on this list.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Families who enroll in Caring and Sharing can pick up these items on Saturday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Central High School at the cafeteria entrance on the Van Dyke Road side of the school.
