WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. \u2014 A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting outside of The Washington Community Club early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
According to the City of Washington Police Department, officers responded to the area of 127 North Main Street for a reported shooting.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve just got to pray that all this chaos stops,\u201d Mayor JoJo Burgess said.<\/p>\n
Police were called to the club after a man had been shot multiple times.<\/p>\n
Police found the man with non-life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.<\/p>\n
The suspected shooter, the mayor said, is someone who had been removed from the club earlier in the night.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just know that they were in the establishment and once they were put out, this is what happened,\u201d Burgess told Channel 11\u2019s Andrew Havranek.<\/p>\n
So far, the suspected shooter has not been found. The mayor said this is believed to be an isolated incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m kinda worried about that, that shooting,\u201d said Louis Williams of Washington.<\/p>\n
People in Washington tell Channel 11 they\u2019re frustrated by recent violence. <\/p>\n
In October, there was a shooting in the alley next to the Washington Community Club. That\u2019s where a 20-year-old man was killed, and a man in his 30s was seriously hurt.<\/p>\n
Burgess said the violence has to stop.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s troublesome whenever something like this happens because it tells me that people aren\u2019t thinking about family and friends, they\u2019re thinking about chaos and destruction, and we don\u2019t like that at all,\u201d Burgess said. \u201cStop shooting at each other. Stop acting a fool, and just be civilized, because right now when you act like this? You\u2019re not civilized. You\u2019re acting like barbaric people. That\u2019s not what we want in any community, let alone ours.\u201d<\/p>\n
The City of Washington Police Department is actively investigating and trying to identify the suspect.<\/p>\n
