It\u2019s Christmastime again at Bethlehem\u2019s SteelStacks, with Christkindlmarkt continuing Thursday through Sunday through Dec. 21.<\/p>\n
This year, there\u2019s a holiday benefit for the Children\u2019s Home of Easton.<\/p>\n
The concert is \u201cAn Evening of Holiday Jazzy Pop with Corinne,\u201d 7 p.m. Dec. 7, Musikfest Cafe, ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.<\/p>\n
The concert combines swinging versions of seasonal classics with Corinne Mammana\u2019s own songs, including those from her just-released album, \u201cStories in Pink.\u201d<\/p>\n
She will be accompanied by Matt Gordeuk, guitar; Patrick Kerssen, piano; John Valinote, bass; Richie Pena, percussion, and Vernon Mobley, drums.<\/p>\n
Her Musikfest Cafe concert will include songs from her holiday EP, \u201cIn the Christmas City,\u201d and she will sing her single from last year, \u201cLet\u2019s Be In Love at Christmastime.\u201d<\/p>\n
Corinne did benefits for the Children\u2019s Home in 2017, 2018 and 2019. After the Musikfest Cafe concert, she and her band will have a question and answer session with children from the Children\u2019s Home about the music business and other topics.<\/p>\n
She describes her music as \u201cgenre-bending:<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s \u2018jazz crossover\u2019 or \u2018jazz into pop,\u2019 with a bossa nova sound, and \u2018cinematic.\u2019 It has been called \u2018standards that have never been heard before.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Corinne, who uses her first name as her stage name, says she is now highlighting her original material over singing the jazz standards she has been known for.<\/p>\n
She says her new album\u2019s theme \u201cfits my vibe of the type of music I like to perform.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cStories in Pink\u201d has all but one song written by her producer Eric Todd. The only cover is Edith Piaf \u2018s \u201cLa Vie En Rose,\u201d which inspired the album\u2019s title.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbout ten years ago at Hotel Bethlehem, someone requested that I sing \u2018La Vie En Rose\u2019 for his daughter on her birthday. Since then, it has become my most requested song.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Life in Pink\u2019 is the English translation of the title. We found out that there is a documentary with that name, so we changed it to \u2018Stories,\u2019 which works better,\u201d she says in a phone interview from her home in Palmer Township, where she lives with her husband Louis and their dog Oscar.<\/p>\n
Corrine was born and raised in Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County. She studied musical theater and received a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University.<\/p>\n
For three years after graduation, she did professional and regional theater in the Philadelphia area and in Virginia. She moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2012.<\/p>\n
She bases her performances in the Lehigh Valley and Manhattan, Her area concerts range from her 10th year at Musikfest to two times at Godfrey Daniels.<\/p>\n
She performed at the Sellersville Theater with Erich Cawalla in the concert, \u201cA Sunday Kind of Love.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is an electronica remix of her song \u201cTicked Pink\u201d on YouTube.<\/p>\n
She has expanded her social media presence to include TikTok.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are\u2006avoiding just playing to online algorithms and are trying to find true fans,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
