Nationally, online shoppers were expected to spend more than $14 billion on Cyber Monday, and that online surge is, of course, reaching the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
“Talking quarter zips, sweatshirts, T-shirts, basically anything and everything will fit somebody’s tastes,” said Sam Jellinek, media relations manager for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.<\/p>\n
Cyber Monday has become a busy day for IronPigs fans to grab merch.<\/p>\n
“We made it really easy this year. We just went ahead and went blanket 20% off with code HAMBONE<\/a> online,” Jellinek said.<\/p>\n Fans can shop from home, have items shipped, or stop by the team store to browse.<\/p>\n “People during the off season will shop online a lot more. It’s far easier that way,” Jellinek says. “It allows us to expand our horizons to, you know, fans all across the country as well.”<\/p>\n The IronPigs say it’s important to get gear into as many fans’ hands as possible.<\/p>\n “Sales so far this year are looking strong,” Jellinek explains. “The 20% off code does run through (Tuesday) as well. So, you know, if you haven’t gotten your shopping done yet, there’s still a chance to do it.”<\/p>\n The Phantoms are also in on the action, offering deals online and in their newly opened store.<\/p>\n
