{"id":5026,"date":"2025-10-17T01:27:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T01:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/5026\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T01:27:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T01:27:07","slug":"drainage-repair-work-to-close-some-roads-in-downtown-pittsburgh-for-about-3-weeks-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/5026\/","title":{"rendered":"Drainage repair work to close some roads in Downtown Pittsburgh for about 3 weeks \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Drivers should plan ahead for when construction closes some roads to traffic in part of Downtown Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Repairs will begin on Monday for a drainage issue that\u2019s causing water to collect at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Market Street, Pittsburgh Regional Transit officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Market\u00a0Street between\u00a0Fifth\u00a0Avenue\u00a0and Liberty\u00a0Avenue\u00a0and\u00a0Fifth\u00a0Avenue\u00a0between\u00a0Market\u00a0Street and Liberty\u00a0Avenue\u00a0will be closed for about three weeks while PRT contractors fix the issue, officials said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Construction is scheduled to occur weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The work site is adjacent to the Market Square PRTX station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Officials say the bus-only\/right turning lane from\u00a0Market\u00a0Street\u00a0to\u00a0Liberty\u00a0Avenue\u00a0will be closed during work.\u00a0Buses will still travel inbound\u00a0toward Liberty\u00a0Avenue\u00a0by using the oncoming traffic lane.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Bus routes 61A, 61B, 61C, 71B, G2 and P1 will not serve the\u00a0Market\u00a0Street PRTX station, officials said.
