The Community Blood Bank is joining forces with Avery\u2019s Pawsitive Change, a nonprofit founded by the late Avery Chauncey, whose compassion for animals inspired a movement across the region. Despite battling Ewing Sarcoma, Avery launched the organization to help feed more than 10,000 pets annually through partnerships with local food pantries.<\/p>\n
During her treatment, Avery relied on blood products that played a vital role in her care, underscoring the importance of a strong local blood supply. In her honor, the Community Blood Bank and Avery\u2019s Pawsitive Change will host a joint blood drive and pet food donation event on Dec. 20, 2025, at the following locations.<\/p>\n
The Community Blood Bank located at 2646 Peach Street, Erie, PA which is open 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The Corry Community Center located at 15 S 1st Ave, Corry, PA open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Targeted Pet Treats at 151 Struthers St, Warren, PA open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
