Northeast Middle School Assistant Principal Daniel Terry has been named the new Hanover Elementary School principal. Pending board approval, he will start on Jan. 5.<\/p>\n
Terry started in the district in 2006 as a Liberty High School social studies teacher. He served as dean of students at the high school in the 2021-22 school year and then moved to Northeast to take on the assistant principal role.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am honored to join Hanover Elementary School,\u201d Terry said in a news release. \u201cI look forward to working with our students, staff, and families to continue building a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Terry earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in instructional technology from Wilkes University. He graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor\u2019s in geography and holds a teaching certificate from Kutztown University.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to welcome Mr. Terry as the new leader of Hanover Elementary School,\u201d Superintendent Jack Silva said in a news release. \u201cHis enthusiasm, experience, and dedication to students and families make him an excellent addition to the Hanover community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Previous Hanover principal candidate Ralph Andrews declined the district\u2019s employment offer in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eric Fontanez, Bethlehem Area supervisor of equity initiatives and a former district elementary principal, has been overseeing administrative duties at Hanover Elementary since March, when principal Erin Hines was placed on leave<\/a>.<\/p>\n
