{"id":51378,"date":"2025-12-03T20:06:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T20:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/51378\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T20:06:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T20:06:09","slug":"historic-bethlehem-christmas-tree-tour-returns-with-20-years-of-fan-favorite-designs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/51378\/","title":{"rendered":"Historic Bethlehem Christmas tree tour returns with 20 years of fan-favorite designs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2014 The \u201cTrees of Historic Bethlehem\u201d exhibition has returned for the 2025 holiday season, showcasing a curated selection of the top Christmas trees and themes from the past 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Presented by Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites, the exhibition runs through Sunday, Jan. 11. Tickets are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.historicbethlehem.org\/visit-us\/experience\/trees-of-historic-bethlehem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">available now<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s display features 21 elaborately decorated trees created by volunteers with the Bethlehem Garden Club and community members. The trees are spread across three landmark sites \u2014 the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem in the 1741 Gemeinhaus, the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and the Single Sisters\u2019 House.<\/p>\n<p>Guests receive a guidebook with descriptions, photos and tree trivia to help them explore the exhibition at their own pace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year\u2019s Trees exhibition is unique in its own way due to the theme, but this year is really special because we\u2019re highlighting some of the most spectacular trees from the past two decades,\u201d said Sharon Donchez, who co-chairs the Bethlehem Garden Club\u2019s Tree Decorating Committee with Sandy Gass. \u201cThe 2025 trees honor the originals, but we also encouraged the volunteer decorators to incorporate new elements and their own artistic flair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s trees include:<\/p>\n<p>The Waterworks Tree, featuring water-inspired d\u00e9cor and tin ornaments honoring the 1762 Waterworks, part of the Moravian Church Settlements\u2014Bethlehem World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p>Winter Wonderland, a white tree adorned with white lights and ornaments.<\/p>\n<p>Dolce &amp; Gabbana, a half-tree, half-mannequin design.<\/p>\n<p>The Bee Tree, originally featured in 2014 at Historic Burnside Plantation, decorated with beeswax candles, Moravian Stars and bee-themed ornaments.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1131\" height=\"1508\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-2.jpg\" alt=\"dolce gabbana tree\" class=\"wp-image-7049\"  \/>The Dolce and Gabbana tree featured on Historic Bethlehem\u2019s tree tour (Photo Courtesy: Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to share our love for Christmas in Bethlehem,\u201d said Joanne Smida, owner of the Bethlehem Christmas Shoppe. \u201cBees have been an essential part of about a third of the world\u2019s food supply. Our theme of \u2018Bees\u2019 gives thanks for the integral part they have and still contribute to the world\u2019s ecosystems, agriculture and the essential natural byproducts produced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Children can enjoy themed trees such as the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Circus, Antarctica (Penguins) and Baked Goods. History enthusiasts will find displays featuring antique ornaments, Victorian-era decorations and Scherenschnitte, the traditional German art of papercutting.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is supported by The Bealer-Greene Christmas Endowment and local businesses, including Historic Hotel Bethlehem, WDIY Public Radio, Alloy5, Bethlehem Christmas Shoppe\/Hand Cut Crystal, Lucinda and Walter Dealtry, ServPro, SumFoodie and Tiller Private Wealth.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is $25 for adults, $23 for teachers and active-duty or veteran military members and $14 for children ages 4 and older. Children 3 and under are admitted free.
