TUNKHANNOCK TWP., Pa. – A Lehigh County man and Carbon County woman are facing drug charges after over a pound of methamphetamine was found in a car they were riding in.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Tuesday at approximately 1:50 a.m., Pocono Mountain Regional Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a car on Kuhenbeaker Road in Tunkhannock Township, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The operator of the car was identified as Erik Boehm 46, of Catasaqua, and the car’s passenger was identified as Samantha Kuntz, 36, of Lehighton, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police say that they observed criminal activity. A police K-9 was deployed around the exterior of the car and alerted to the presence of narcotics.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A search warrant was obtained for the car by police.<\/p>\n
Police say that in the search, the following items were found: A pound of methamphetamine in a plastic bag, another half-pound of methamphetamine in a plastic bag, an electronic scale with meth residue, and a small amount of marijuana.\u00a0<\/p>\n
