Israeli occupation forces assaulted a Palestinian worker on Thursday evening in the village of al\u2011Minya, southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.<\/p>\n
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Bethlehem reported that soldiers stopped a waste\u2011collection vehicle at the al\u2011Minya roundabout, forced the 37\u2011year\u2011old driver out, and brutally beat him.<\/p>\n
PRCS medics said the man suffered bruises and wounds across his body before being transferred to hospital, where his condition was described as stable.<\/p>\n
Residents stressed that such attacks highlight the daily risks faced by ordinary workers in Bethlehem\u2019s villages, where occupation forces routinely impose restrictions and violence that disrupt livelihoods and threaten community stability.<\/p>\n
In related news, Israeli colonizers attacked international solidarity activists<\/a> and Palestinian residents in the Bedouin village of Shalal al\u2011Auja, north of Jericho, in the occupied West Bank\u2019s northeastern part.<\/p>\n Furthermore, seven Palestinians were injured<\/a>\u00a0on Thursday after Israeli colonizers attacked farmers between the towns of Halhul and Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank\u2019s southern part.<\/p>\n All of Israel\u2019s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under\u00a0International Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n Article 33<\/a>\u00a0of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.<\/p>\n Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention<\/a>\u00a0states: \u201cThe Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.\u201d It also prohibits the \u201cindividual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory\u201d.<\/p>\n Articles\u00a053\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0147<\/a>, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.<\/p>\n
