Forbes revealed its 30 under 30 class of 2026<\/a> this week and plenty of people with Philly-area ties made the list in its various categories.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve gone through the more than 600 honorees in Forbes\u2019 20 categories (\u201c30 under 30\u201d is straight up misinformation) and found 22 with local ties.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Get ready to read \u201cPenn grad\u201d a lot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Food and Drink\u00a0<\/p>\n

Penn alum Kara Rosenblum<\/a> is co-owner of Bar Next Door<\/a> on West Hollywood\u2019s Sunset Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Maggie Tang<\/a>, another Penn graduate, is the founder of Magic Technologies, an \u201cAI company for powering real-world experiences\u201d\u00a0 in the hospitality space.<\/p>\n

Media<\/p>\n

Wall Street Journal producer and host Farah Otero-Amad<\/a> attended Penn, where she played on the women\u2019s soccer team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CBS Sports\u2019 lead WNBA analyst Isis \u201cIce\u201d Young<\/a> is from close-by Berlin, N.J.<\/p>\n

Social Impact<\/p>\n

Alexandre Imbot and Eli Moraru, founders of the Community Grocer<\/a> in West Philly, are Penn grads. The nonprofit<\/a> provides a model where Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients can legally purchase hot, healthy meals that comply with federal policy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Andre Hamra<\/a>, co-founder of the recruiting platform Refer<\/a>, which provides AI-powered recruiting agents, is also a Penn alum.<\/p>\n

Transportation and Aerospace<\/p>\n

Philly native and Wharton grad John Huddleston<\/a> is the co-founder of Albacore Inc.<\/a>, which develops long-range autonomous underwater vehicles that are used for military defense.<\/p>\n

Games<\/p>\n

Crystal Yang<\/a>, who at 18 is the youngest person on this local list, is currently a Penn student and founder of Audemy<\/a>, a nonprofit that makes educational video games that are accessible for blind gamers, as well as toolkits that make mainstream games more accessible.<\/p>\n

Penn grad Salaar Kohair<\/a> is a co-founder of indie game studio CAGE Studios<\/a>.<\/p>\n
