SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 For many, Christmas is a time to spend with friends and family, but for families like the Talarico Family, it\u2019s the season for remembering those who have passed on.<\/p>\n
Sheri Talarico\u2019s son, TJ, passed away over 6 years ago, and since that time, she\u2019s dedicated her holiday season to helping others, through a toy drive honoring his memory.<\/p>\n
\u201cI need you guys to remember to smile, go buy a toy that you think T.J. would have liked and bring it and make another kid smile in his memory. Toys for Tots used to help me with my own kids when they were little, so sometimes if it wasn\u2019t for Toys for Tots, my kids wouldn\u2019t have Christmas\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Family members say TJ was a wild and carefree kind of kid.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe loved to work on cars, he loved playing the guitar he liked to have a whole lot of fun,\u201d said Sheri Talarico.<\/p>\n
On Saturday from 2:30-5 PM, there will be free photos with Santa, and each person who donates a toy will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card from Electric City Tattoo.<\/p>\n
