He also spent 32 years at Abington Heights and six at Mid Valley, coaching 1,076 career games.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas trailed, 46-38, after three quarters. But Riley Samanas scored five points in the fourth quarter and Walsh had four to fuel the Lady Mountaineers\u2019 comeback.<\/p>\n<p>Mia DelGaudio added 10 points for the Lady Mountaineers. It was the second one-point victory of the season for Dallas; it won its opener over Hughesville, 63-62.<\/p>\n<p>Jaelyn Alers led No. 5 Scranton with 15 points. Chrissy Jacklinski followed with 14 and Rhylee Bell added 11 for the Lady Knights (0-2).<\/p>\n<p>Norwin 51, Abington Heights 46: At State College, Norwin used a fourth-quarter comeback <a href=\"http:\/\/varsity.the570.com\/Abington_Heights\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to defeat Abington Heights in the opening semifinal of the State College Tipoff Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Emma Coleman helped the No. 3 Lady Comets (1-1) take a 35-32 lead into the fourth quarter. Coleman finished with a game-high 25 points, 21 of which came in the first three quarters.<\/p>\n<p>However, three players had four points each to help Norwin outscore Abington Heights in the fourth quarter, 19-11, and rally for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Nia O\u2019Barto led the Lady Knights with 10 points.<\/p>\n<p>Lily Scoblick grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lady Comets, who will play Reading in the consolation game Saturday at 2 p.m. Reading lost to State College in the other semifinal, 44-40.<\/p>\n<p>Honesdale 48, Wilkes-Barre Area 33: At The Den, <a href=\"http:\/\/varsity.the570.com\/Honesdale\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">No. 8 Honesdale jumped out to a 15-5 lead after one quarter to pick up the nonleague win over Wilkes-Barre Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Honesdale had three girls in double figures, led by Ruby Martin\u2019s 15 points. Lily Murray added 13 points, and Karsyn Kromko contributed 10.<\/p>\n<p>Jaida Underwood was the only Wilkes-Barre Area player in double figures with 17.<\/p>\n<p>Pittston Area 42, Riverside 33: At Riverside, <a href=\"http:\/\/varsity.the570.com\/Pittston_Area\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lily Hintze scored 15 points and Julia Long added 11 to lead Pittston Area to a nonleague win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After being held scoreless in the first quarter and trailing at halftime, 22-9, the host Lady Vikes closed to within three points late. But Hintze sank 5 of 8 foul shots in the fourth and Leah Drogzinski scored all five of her points in the quarter to help the Lady Patriots hang on for the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Kiley Williams led Riverside (2-2) with 16 points, 13 of which came in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Delaware Valley 47, Wyoming Valley West 27: At Delaware Valley, <a href=\"http:\/\/varsity.the570.com\/Delaware_Valley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the host Lady Warriors jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and went on to the nonleague win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda Aragona led Delaware Valley (2-0) with 11 points. Leah Bird followed with 10, including five in the first quarter. Krystina Orby scored seven of her nine points in the first quarter and Brianna Waldron had five of her seven in the first for the Lady Warriors.<\/p>\n<p>Grace Smith and Rebecca Staniecki each had five points for Wyoming Valley West.<\/p>\n<p>Northeast Bradford 51, Blue Ridge 37: At Blue Ridge, <a href=\"http:\/\/varsity.the570.com\/Blue_Ridge\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Northeast Bradford outscored the host Lady Raiders by 20 in the second quarter to pull away to a nonleague victory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kara Dughi scored all 19 of her points in the first half, including 13 in the decisive second quarter for the Lady Panthers. Leah Beebe added 17 points.<\/p>\n<p>Abi Gelinger paced Blue Ridge (1-1) with 21 points and nine rebounds. Lynndee Barbour chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.<\/p>\n<p>Wrestling<\/p>\n<p>Dominic Schuman (107 pounds), Nathan Schuman (114), Brody Walsh (127), Duke Martin (189) and Levi Landry (215) advanced to the semifinals as Honesdale leads after Day 1 of the Darren Klingerman Invitational on Friday at Bloomsburg High School.<\/p>\n<p>The Hornets have 105.5 points, leading second-place Abington Heights by 10.5 points. Dakota Sandy (114), Brady Fuller (133), Mason Whitney (139), Lucas Drake (160) and Frank Scialpi (215) advanced to Saturday\u2019s semifinals for the Comets.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Best Top Hat Tournament: At Williamsport, three wrestlers from the Lackawanna League advanced to the quarterfinals of the Tom Best Top Hat Tournament on Friday night at Williamsport High School.<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley\u2019s Matthew Almedina and Devon Hill, and Scranton\u2019s Drew Leonori are still alive in the championship round.<\/p>\n<p>Almedina, the third-seed at 139, needed just 46 seconds to pick up a tech fall of South Western\u2019s Cooper Myers, picking up two takedowns and three pairs of back points. Hill, No. 4 at 285, picked up the bout\u2019s lone takedown in the third period in a 4-1 win over Derry\u2019s Justin Papuga.<\/p>\n<p>Leonori, also at 139, used three takedowns to pick up the 16-5 major over Hempfield\u2019s Brody Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>Hazleton Area had four wrestlers reach the quarterfinal round.<\/p>\n<p>Gabe Benyo (121), Jake Benyo (127), Tyler Youngcourt (160) and Mason Marolo (189) are all into the quarterfinal round as the Cougars are sitting in 11th place in the team standings.<\/p>\n<p>It was the debut for the Benyo brothers, who made their mark felt right from the start.
