SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 As the winter weather is upon us in northeastern Pennsylvania, Scranton firefighters braved the elements to battle a house fire Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Lackawanna County officials confirmed with 28\/22 News that firefighters were called to the 3200 block of Cedar Avenue in Scranton for a house fire at about 5:50 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Scranton Fire Department is leading the response to the incident, and so far, no one has been reported injured.<\/p>\n

Authorities say no one was home at the time of the fire, and the fire does not yet pose a threat to neighboring homes.<\/p>\n

28\/22 News spoke with Scranton Fire Department Chief Dan Hallowich, who confirmed one person has been displaced as a result of the fire and is getting help from the Red Cross.<\/p>\n

So far, authorities do not know what caused the house fire, and the incident is under investigation.<\/p>\n
