A Moscow man punched his girlfriend in the head during an argument over a bottle of alcohol, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Police charged Larod J. Miller, 44, of 102 Scanlon Lane, with simple assault, harassment and making terroristic threats.<\/p>\n
According to the complaint:<\/p>\n
Moscow borough police officers responded to the Scanlon Lane residence at about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday for a reported domestic dispute.<\/p>\n
Officers found Tara Ann LaRoche screaming from a second-floor apartment staircase.<\/p>\n
LaRoche, who appeared intoxicated, showed police a large swollen knot on the left side of her forehead that was black and blue.<\/p>\n
She said Miller had punched her during an argument over purchasing alcohol.<\/p>\n
Miller told police he was sleeping on the sofa when LaRoche woke him up.<\/p>\n
Miller appeared intoxicated and slurred his words. He was unable to explain what happened next or how LaRoche suffered the injury. Miller repeatedly told police she was lying.<\/p>\n
LaRoche said she wanted Miller arrested and repeated that Miller had threatened her by saying \u201cif I don\u2019t go to jail, you gonna die.\u201d<\/p>\n
Miller was arrested and charged with domestic violence.<\/p>\n
Miller remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.<\/p>\n
