Ninth St. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2025\/12\/08\/allentown-to-review-plans-for-37-story-pencil-tower-in-allentown-181-apartments-former-merchants-square-mall-warehouse\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was on the agenda for the Allentown Planning Commission\u2019s meeting Tuesday<\/a>, but a sign at the entrance to City Council chambers said the hearing for preliminary\/final approval was postponed by owner Umran Global Investment LLC.<\/p>\n<p>Commission Chair Christian Brown announced at the beginning of the meeting that the project will be back on the agenda \u201cin either February or March.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If built, the Peregrine Tower would become the Lehigh Valley\u2019s tallest building, eclipsing the nearby PPL Building.
