<\/p>\nDespite battling the flu and dealing with a little leftover illness on stage, Cornelius “Chevy” Chase, the star of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and other classic comedy movies made an appearance in Erie on Dec. 8.<\/p>\n
Chase and his wife, Jayni Chase, received a standing ovation from an Erie crowd of 1,500 people at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St., after the audience watched a showing of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”<\/p>\n
Chase then participated in a question-and-answer segment with fan-submitted questions.<\/p>\n
“But I’m getting better and doing better now that I’m here,” Chase said after his wife stated that he had been battling the flu.<\/p>\n

The stage was set on Dec. 8 for actor and comedian Chevy Chase as he was set to take part in a question-and-answer segment following a showing of the Christmas comedy ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.’<\/p>\n
A fan-submitted question-and-answer segment<\/p>\n
