She was recognized as an NHS member and served as VP of the school orchestra, as well as President of her homeroom. One classmate in particular was smitten with Marilyn, her sweetheart, Andy Louie Kavulich. They have been an inseparable couple for over 60 years and have shared a beautiful love story.

She was a talented pianist, played the cello for the orchestra, and shared her musical gifts by playing the organ at masses at St. David’s in Keyser Valley for many years. She was an excellent cook and baker, which was on display most during the holiday seasons of Christmas and Easter. She took great pride in her Slovak heritage and its culinary delights.

Marilyn loved being involved with and supported her children’s school activities. She also dedicated her time and spent years as a library and teachers aide at OLGC in Moorestown, NJ where her kindness and patience touched countless children. Supporting her children’s athletic teams was also one of her favorite pastimes. She could be found all over South Jersey and the NJ/PA/DE tri-state area cheering for OLGC, Bishop Eustace and Holy Cross sports teams.

She was a longtime active parishioner at St. Joan of Arc parish in Marlton, NJ where she participated in Walking with Purpose, a women’s quilting group, and she and Andy have been regulars at daily Mass.

She was the sweetest, most cheerful lady who had a fun and spunky side, spread warmth and joy everywhere she went, always greeting everyone with a friendly smile.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday evening, December 12th, at Givnish Funeral Home of 398 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ from 6 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturday morning, December 13th, at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ from 10 to 11 am.
