ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Authorities say an Allentown man tried to pay for, and meet for, sexual contact with someone he believed to be a 12-year-old child.<\/p>\n
Kristien Diaz, 31, is charged with several felonies, including attempted rape of a child, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
When Diaz drove to an arranged meeting site last week in Lehigh County, Office of Attorney General agents and local police arrested him, the AG\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
Diaz made the arrangements online where he sought out a person to facilitate sexual abuse of a child, according to the AG\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
According to the news release, the person who communicated with Diaz was an Office of Attorney General agent.<\/p>\n
The AG\u2019s office said Diaz was arraigned and bail was set at $500,000. He was taken to Lehigh County Correctional Facility.<\/p>\n
When Diaz was arrested, investigators seized his cellphone which revealed the online conversations regarding the meet-up and that Diaz was aware of the \u201cchild\u2019s\u201d age, the AG\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
