Vance\u2019s visit to the Lehigh Valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GNRIES4LRRAHROBUEXLNZQJNNU\">Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/administration\/jd-vance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/administration\/jd-vance\/\">JD Vance<\/a> is coming to the Lehigh Valley next week to make a speech near Allentown on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for his office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"7UFMSI7DHFCPJA2RMRGZYGRWHE\">He\u2019ll discuss the U.S. economy and cost of living, echoing remarks made by President Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/news\/2025\/12\/trumps-speech-on-combating-inflation-turns-to-grievances-about-immigrants-from-filthy-countries.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.lehighvalleylive.com\/news\/2025\/12\/trumps-speech-on-combating-inflation-turns-to-grievances-about-immigrants-from-filthy-countries.html\">during a visit Tuesday, Dec. 9<\/a>, to Mount Airy Casino Resort in Paradise Township, Monroe County. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"JC5OLDVWK5HANNFETAZLOFDBEE\">Trump veered off topic during his economic address Tuesday to also complain about immigrants coming to America from \u201chellhole\u201d countries, according to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"CACWOU5ROJBEZBTUJK6UMMLKFE\">Vance\u2019s spokesperson didn\u2019t release a time or location for the vice president\u2019s Dec. 16 speech.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GANMDDIHYJH7TJ6BDH2Q4RYGXI\">\u201cExpect Vice President Vance to emphasize the fact that making America affordable again is the number one priority of the Trump administration,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"G4QN35RQ7VDVRH2SALK7LI6NOI\">Vance became a U.S. Senator from Ohio in 2022, then was elected vice president on Trump\u2019s ticket in 2024.
