WEST READING, PA \u2014 The West Reading Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying a woman sought in connection with an alleged hit-and-run incident that occurred Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the Third & Spruce Drafthaus.<\/p>\n

According to police, the unidentified woman \u2014 captured in an image highlighted by investigators \u2014 was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle accident around 4:35 p.m. on December 7 and then failed to provide the legally required information before leaving the scene. Authorities did not disclose the extent of any vehicle damage or whether anyone was injured.<\/p>\n

Police emphasize that any individual connected to this incident is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n

The department is encouraging residents to come forward if they recognize the woman or her vehicle. Information can be shared directly with West Reading Police at 610-373-0111. Tips may also be submitted anonymously online<\/a>, by calling Crime Alert Berks County at 1-877-373-9913, or by texting 847411 with the keyword ALERTBERKS followed by the message. Crime Alert Berks County may offer a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.<\/p>\n

The incident took place near South 3rd Avenue and Spruce Street in West Reading. Police expressed appreciation for the community\u2019s cooperation as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
