SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 Scranton’s Christmas Lights House, a tradition nearly four decades in the making, is back, bigger and better than ever.<\/p>\n
Prospect Avenue in Scranton is aglow with holiday cheer, as this festive display welcomes visitors.<\/p>\n
Lackawanna County is no stranger to holiday light shows, however this small corner in Scranton’s South Side is easily a favorite of many.<\/p>\n
What began more than thirty-five years ago with a single home has grown into a beloved neighborhood tradition, inviting guests to drive slowly or stroll past a dazzling array of decorations and lights.<\/p>\n
Each year, the Christmas Lights House draws hundreds of visitors eager to admire its festive display.<\/p>\n
Among them this season were Clarks Summit resident Jake Fitzpatrick, his partner Emily Guziewicz, and their infant daughter, Ruby.<\/p>\n
Fitzpatrick, who has returned year after year to admire the decorations since childhood, is excited to continue the tradition with his own children.<\/p>\n
“It’s just an amazing sight to see us honor our old traditions and celebrate some of the new ones. It’s our daughter’s first Christmas, and I’m actually a South Side native, originally on South Irving. It’s just great to be out and see the community come together and celebrate some of these traditions,” said Fitzpatrick.<\/p>\n
The display runs every evening through early January.<\/p>\n
