Erie<\/a>‘s game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn’t stay that way. They fell 53-48 to the West Elk Patriots<\/a>. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn’t forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.<\/p>\n

Despite the defeat, Erie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Quincy Brown<\/a> dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that’s the most points Brown has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Dillinger<\/a>, who posted seven points and ten boards.<\/p>\n

This is the second loss in a row for Erie and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for West Elk, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Erie and Humboldt will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. West Elk has already played their next matchup (against Crest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
