Pittsburgh International Airport will add nonstop flights to Dublin, Ireland, starting May 25, 2026. It\u2019s the first time the two cities have ever been connected with regular service and also the first new flight announced since the airport\u2019s landside terminal <a href=\"https:\/\/nextpittsburgh.com\/current-features\/7-things-you-might-not-know-about-the-new-pittsburgh-international-airport-terminal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">opened last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The route also opens up opportunities for travel to other major European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris and Rome, <a href=\"https:\/\/blueskypit.com\/pittsburghs-strength-as-business-center-fuels-aer-lingus-entry-into-market\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to Blue Sky News<\/a> \u2014 an aviation news website operated by the Allegheny County Airport Authority. Flights will run Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAer Lingus is particularly pleased to add Pittsburgh to our transatlantic network, having worked closely with partners in the region to make this a possibility,\u201d Aer Lingus\u202fChief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry told Blue Sky News. \u201cThis route builds on our strong partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers and further cements Aer Lingus\u2019 position as a leading transatlantic carrier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The addition comes three months after the Steelers played in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelers.com\/news\/steelers-to-play-in-nfl-s-first-regular-season-game-in-ireland-in-25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dublin\u2019s Croke Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opportunity for the Pittsburgh Steelers to play in Ireland is truly special, not only because of the Rooney family history there, but also to play in front of the growing number of Steelers fans in Ireland,\u201d wrote Steelers President Art Rooney II in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steelers.com\/news\/steelers-to-play-in-nfl-s-first-regular-season-game-in-ireland-in-25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">February press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerlingus.com\/app\/make\/flight-search-result?sourceAirportCode_0=PIT&amp;destinationAirportCode_0=DUB&amp;departureDate_0=2025-12-18&amp;numAdults=1&amp;numYoungAdults=0&amp;numChildren=0&amp;numInfants=0&amp;fareCategory=ECONOMY&amp;locale=en-us&amp;groupBooking=false&amp;fareType=RETURN&amp;sourceAirportCode_1=DUB&amp;destinationAirportCode_1=PIT&amp;departureDate_1=2025-12-25&amp;emcid=T-73K37nw21&amp;promoCode=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Current flights from Pittsburgh to Dublin<\/a> include multiple layovers and airline transfers, and cost between $1,400 and $2,100.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An economy flight from Aer Lingus\u2019 website that would depart on Monday, May 25, and return on Friday, May 29, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerlingus.com\/app\/make\/flight-search-result?sourceAirportCode_0=PIT&amp;destinationAirportCode_0=DUB&amp;departureDate_0=2026-05-25&amp;numAdults=1&amp;numYoungAdults=0&amp;numChildren=0&amp;numInfants=0&amp;fareCategory=ECONOMY&amp;locale=en-us&amp;groupBooking=false&amp;fareType=RETURN&amp;sourceAirportCode_1=DUB&amp;destinationAirportCode_1=PIT&amp;departureDate_1=2026-05-29&amp;emcid=T-73K37nw21&amp;promoCode=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">currently listed to cost about $864<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis called the route one that \u201ccommunity leaders have been seeking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to have a partner in Aer Lingus that will serve Pittsburgh\u2019s growing market for nonstop service to Ireland and beyond, and we look forward to welcoming even more European travelers to Pittsburgh,\u201d Cassotis told Blue Sky News.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Feeling lucky?
