Students at Sumter Central High School brought the story of the Birth of Jesus to life in their student led play titled \u201cA night in Bethlehem.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe learned a lot, and we learned more about God, and they pushed us hard to do good for the play,\u201d said Takaria Haire.<\/p>\n
The students not only led the play, but made history as well, as this is their very first play the school has ever done.<\/p>\n
Twin States News got a chance to speak with more cast members about their experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a good experience, we\u2019re getting a good connection, we\u2019re doing everything and learning about songs, and communication and how to pronounce stuff,\u201d said Alexis Harrison.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like we\u2019ve kind of bonded together, if that makes sense,\u201d said Ny’asia Fenderson.<\/p>\n
\u201cDoing it for the community, that\u2019s what it\u2019s all about,” said Kemaureon Lockett.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the community, students Takaria Haire, Kemaureon Lockett, expressed what they hope the audience enjoys most about their play.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey enjoy the play because this is our first time ever doing a play, so we hope they enjoy it,\u201d said Haire.<\/p>\n
“Represent the Lord, Jesus Christ,\u201d said Lockett.<\/p>\n
Students enjoyed putting on the play \u201cA night in Bethlehem\u201d for friends and family and say they cannot wait until their next play.<\/p>\n
