{"id":5971,"date":"2025-10-17T15:36:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T15:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/5971\/"},"modified":"2025-10-17T15:36:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T15:36:15","slug":"scranton-ph-d-student-crowley-earns-national-acclaim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/5971\/","title":{"rendered":"Scranton Ph.D. Student, Crowley, Earns National Acclaim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob Crowley, a member of The University of Scranton\u2019s Ph.D. in accounting program from Strongsville, Ohio, recently received a pair of prestigious honors.<\/p>\n<p>Crowley is one of just 25 accounting educators and researchers in the country to be honored as a 2025 Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) Foundation Accounting Doctoral Fellow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReceiving the AICPA Doctoral Fellowship is both an honor and an investment in my journey toward completing my Ph.D. in accounting,\u201d Crowley said. \u201cThe fellowship provides crucial support that allows me to focus on advancing my research, strengthening my teaching and contributing to the profession. This opportunity brings me closer to my goal of making a lasting impact in accounting education and practice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crowley was also one of four individuals to receive 2025 Outstanding Faculty Advisor Awards recognition from Beta Alpha Psi, the international honor organization for financial information students and professionals.
