READING, Pa. – One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night in Berks County.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The crash happened on the 1200 block of Schuylkill Avenue around 5:30 p.m.. Police responded to the scene for reports of a pedestrian crash.<\/p>\n
Reading police say that they found a female who was being transported to Reading Hospital by EMS on the scene when they arrived.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She later succumbed to her injuries, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The road was closed for several hours while crews worked the scene.<\/p>\n
The identity of this female has yet to be revealed by officials.
