ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A holiday tradition of giving culminates in Allentown.<\/p>\n
The Lehigh Valley Central Labor Council is wrapping up another year of delivering toys to hundreds of young children in the Allentown School District.<\/p>\n
69 News Reporter Cierra Genelle was at the Roosevelt Elementary School with a look at this year’s toy drive.<\/p>\n
The Lehigh Valley Central Labor Council organized the drive to benefit the Allentown School District students at Roosevelt and Sheridan Elementary Schools.<\/p>\n
Organizers say many families struggle with financial challenges and the drive really helps them still have a wonderful Christmas.<\/p>\n
The morning started with a parade of vehicles including a LANTA bus, Allentown fire, Allentown police, members of the Lehigh County Sheriff’s Office, and the Allentown Mayor.<\/p>\n
They all piled into Roosevelt Elementary School to quickly organize the gifts that families and students will be able to choose from in the coming days.<\/p>\n
Another parade is happening around the school Monday afternoon with local officials, school officials, and the Dieruff High School marching band to continue to spread the holiday joy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A holiday tradition of giving culminates in Allentown.
