Many different human activities cause nutrient pollution and eroded sediment to enter streams, rivers, and lakes. This pollution can come from fertilizer, plowing and tilling farm fields and can cause stripping away of trees and vegetation, and increasing paved surfaces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Here are the grants awarded in our area: <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Blair County Conservation District: $308,095<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Cambria County Conservation District: $200,000<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Centre County Government: $566,399<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Clearfield County Conservation District: $368,209<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Huntingdon County Conservation District: $409,134<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cPennsylvania\u2019s clean water successes are rooted in collaboration\u2014state, local, federal, legislative, and non-governmental partners, and of course landowners,\u201d Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary Jessica Shirley said. \u201cThe work will continue to evolve, and our focus will remain on setting our collaborative partnerships up for success well beyond 2025.
