Mayor Eddie Mor\u00e1n is excited to announce that the Pagoda lights will blink again this Christmas Eve for the first time since 2021.<\/p>\n
The Pagoda\u2019s restoration is nearly complete, with Dolan Construction, the Warko Group, and Hirneisen Electric working since April to keep the project on schedule for the new year.<\/p>\n
The red lights are shining again, and on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 9 p.m., the City, in partnership with the Pagoda Foundation, will continue the tradition of blinking the Pagoda to signal to children across Reading and Berks County that Santa Claus knows they are fast asleep and ready for his visit.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Pagoda is a symbol of pride for our city,\u201d said Mayor Mor\u00e1n. \u201cBringing back the Christmas Eve blinking lights is a moment our community has been waiting for. It\u2019s a small but magical tradition that families of all ages can enjoy, and I\u2019m thrilled it\u2019s back this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
