L. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – Just one week after President Donald Trump’s visit to the Poconos<\/a>, the administration is keeping a spotlight on the Keystone State with another stop set for Tuesday \u2013 with Vice President JD Vance.<\/p>\n

69 News Reporter Sydney Kay has the story from Lower Macungie Township ahead of his visit to the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n

Vance will be speaking at the company Uline, which is right outside the Borough of Alburtis. That visit is expected to begin at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

Doors are set to open at 8 a.m. Tuesday. As the morning goes on, drivers and residents should expect temporary road closures and delays in Alburtis and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

The Office of the Vice President states this visit will highlight President Trump’s economic success, and the administration’s commitment to lower prices and bigger paychecks.<\/p>\n

What to expect from VP Vance\u2019s visit to the Lehigh Valley<\/a><\/p>\n

Ahead of Vance\u2019s visit to Uline, many of the supporters waiting for the doors to open said they also went to the President\u2019s event last week and aren\u2019t surprised to see back-to-back visits as we\u2019re less than one year out from the midterm elections.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This comes just a week after President Trump’s stop at Mount Airy Casino Resort in Monroe County, where he talked about the inflation crisis that he says was inherited by the Biden Administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast week was from my first Trump rally and how cool is it that one week you get to meet the President and the next week you get to meet the Vice President?\u201d said\u00a0Talina Stackhouse, from\u00a0Easton.<\/p>\n

\u201cPennsylvania’s a crucial state, it\u2019s a battleground state. We have to win it. We have to maintain the House, we\u2019ve got to win the House and there are crucial congressional races taking place,\u201d said\u00a0Edward X. Young, who came from\u00a0New Jersey to hear Vance speak\u00a0in Lower Macungie Township.<\/p>\n

We spoke to Muhlenberg College Political Science Professor Chris Borick, who says the appearances from national leaders don’t come as a shock to him.<\/p>\n

He says a focus of the Trump administration is to keep a Republican majority in Congress.<\/p>\n

“The President recognizes that, if he loses control of the House, which often happens to Presidents in their second term, it’s going to limit his ability, and his administration’s ability, to move anything legislatively,”\u00a0Borick said.<\/p>\n
