BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 Bensalem shows up on the second episode of the A&E series “Murder at the Motel.”<\/p>\n

The township’s former Battalion Chief Rob Sponheimer made an appearance on the show during the episode about a month ago.<\/p>\n

The 41-minute show aired on A&E on Nov. 14 for the episode called the “Lincoln Motel.” New episodes stream every Saturday. Click here for more details<\/a><\/p>\n

Bensalem first responders were called to the Lincoln Inn Motel, where a room was found fully engulfed in flames. As crews worked to knock down the fire, they made a devastating discovery \u2014 a body burned beyond recognition in the debris.<\/p>\n

“What first appeared to be a tragic accident quickly turned into something far more sinister as investigators uncovered critical evidence,” Bensalem Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post. “Our commitment to public safety never wavers, and we remain dedicated to protecting our community every day.”<\/p>\n

The crime took place on May 15, 2016.
