READING, Pa. \u2013 Reading City Council voted 4-3 against appointing Adrian Jadic, Wyomissing, as the city zoning administrator Monday night.<\/p>\n
Jadic was nominated by Mayor Eddie Moran for the position.<\/p>\n
Council President Donna Reed, along with Councilmembers Vanessa Campos, Chris Miller and Rafael Nunez voted against Jadic.<\/p>\n
The matter was discussed by council in a closed-door executive session prior to the vote. No additional details were discussed in public.<\/p>\n
Banner display on bridges<\/p>\n
In other business, council authorized the public works director with\u00a0the discretion to approve the installation of banners celebrating and displaying the work of high school student artists on city bridges.<\/p>\n
The installation costs will be covered by the Berks Arts Fast Lane Art juried contest and exhibition.\u00a0<\/p>\n
