Visitors can light a candle or lantern there and take the light home with them.<\/p>\n<p>After a year, the Peace Light from Bethlehem has returned to the Prague City Hall. Handed over by the Scouts, it was received by Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda and his deputy Michal Hroza. Residents of Prague and visitors to the capital once again have the opportunity to light a candle from the Peace Light in front of the New Town Hall on Mari\u00e1nsk\u00e9 n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed in Prague 1. I am delighted that Prague can again provide a place where people, amid the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, can experience for a moment the values of peace, helpfulness and mutual respect that are central to our city and society,\u201d emphasises Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Peace Light symbolises hope. Especially at a time when the greatest war in Europe since the Second World War is raging, it is particularly important to preserve this hope,\u201d adds Deputy Mayor Michal Hroza.<\/p>\n<p>Historic Trams Distribute Peace Light Across Prague<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.praguedaily.news\/2025\/12\/13\/historic-trams-distribute-the-peace-light-in-prague\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">two historic trams will distribute the Peace Light<\/a> from Bethlehem to various districts, inviting residents and visitors to take a sign of calm and togetherness with them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/FOTO_1-1608215713.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9662\"  \/>FOTO: DPP | Petr Hejna<\/p>\n<p>From Brno to All Regions of the Country<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.praguedaily.news\/2025\/12\/03\/peace-light-of-bethlehem-2025-carry-the-light-of-hope\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Peace Light from Bethlehem<\/a> began its long journey across the entire country last Saturday morning. Volunteer Scout couriers distributed the flame by train to all regions of the Czech Republic. Within a day, the light reached hundreds of towns and municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1990, Scouts from Brno have been bringing the flame of the Eternal Light from Austria to the Czech Republic. The light, which burns in the grotto beneath the Nativity Basilica in Bethlehem, stands as a symbol of peace, love, hope and friendship.
