ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Vice President J.D. Vance stated his case for the Trump administration’s handling of the economy during a stop in the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
The vice president first spoke at Uline in Lower Macungie Township.<\/p>\n
Before departing our area, Vance made a stop at the Allentown Rescue Mission, an organization that helps men experiencing homelessness.<\/p>\n
There, the vice president and his wife, Usha, served meals to guests and spent some time learning about how the mission helps the community.<\/p>\n
“So they fed the men, they spoke with the men actually somewhat, and then when they were done with that, J.D. and his wife went upstairs and had a long lunch with just four of our clients in our library\u2026 they must have been up there about a half an hour, so they had a very in-depth conversation,” says Skip Smith, CEO of Allentown Rescue Mission.<\/p>\n
Usha and J.D.
