Fourth Street in Allentown, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Johnson, 30 was arrested in the 5400 block of Norfolk Street in Philadelphia.

Authorities say Johnson hit Rigoberto “Rigo” Hernandez, 29, after a verbal altercation. Johnson then fled the scene, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

The victim died that evening as a result of his injuries. On Dec. 10 a warrant was issued for Troy Johnson of Philadelphia, and the case was delegated to the Marshals Fugitive Task Force, according to the news release.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force from Allentown and Philadelphia, along with Allentown Police Homicide detectives, went to a home belonging to Johnson’s family members in Southwest Philadelphia.

Upon investigating the residence, Johnson was found and arrested without incident, the U.S. Marshals Service said.in its news release. He was then taken to Lehigh County for processing.

“While nothing can undo the harm that was done to the Hernandez family, I hope this arrest brings a measure of closure to the family,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.

Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan told 69 News back in November the alleged hit-and-run was “certainly a tragic incident that didn’t need to happen.”

“There was an altercation between two drivers. The victim in this case exited his vehicle, we believe, to confront the driver of the van,” Holihan explained.

Holihan said there’s no indication the victim and the driver knew each other previously.

“I’ve known Rigo for almost 10 years. Aside from him being family and a personal friend, it’s a major loss for us,” said Josiah Gamez of East Coast Facilities back in November.

Gamez said he worked closely with Hernandez, overseeing the department he served as a supervisor in.

Hernandez was also a husband, as well as father to an 11-year-old, 7-year-old and 3-year-old.

“He took care of his family and right now they’re completely devastated. We’re doing the best we can to show our support to the family and help them with coordinating funeral arrangements and the burial with his wife.
