The Philadelphia Phillies added Brad Keller to their pitching staff Wednesday, agreeing to a two-year, $22 million contract with the right-hander, a person familiar with the deal confirmed to The Associated Press.<\/p>\n
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement was pending a successful physical.<\/p>\n
Keller is coming off a terrific season with the Chicago Cubs, going 4-2 with a career-low 2.07 ERA in 68 appearances. He struck out 75 in 69 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n
Keller, 30, worked out of the bullpen last season but he was a starting pitcher at the beginning of his career. Ranger Su\u00e1rez, a key member of the Phillies rotation this season, is a free agent.<\/p>\n
