A Marcus Hook woman has been charged with the attempted homicide during a domestic in Upper Darby.<\/p>\n

Court records indicate Fatima Sherif, 27, was arrested Monday by Upper Darby police and charged with criminal attempt \u2013 murder of the first degree, aggravated assault, illegally carrying a firearm, person not to possess\/use firearm \u2013 incompetent, recklessly endangering another person and other charges.<\/p>\n

Sherif was wanted by police for an incident in the unit block of Houston Road about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The victim suffered an in-and-out wound to the shoulder. She was taken to Lankenau Hospital and later released.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, township Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said the incident appeared to involve a fight over an old boyfriend and a new boyfriend.<\/p>\n

The shooting occurred in the basement of the home. The victim said someone knocked on the back door, a person came in the back door and fired two shots, one hitting the victim.<\/p>\n

The shooter and victim knew each other and there is no threat to the public, Bernhardt said at the time.<\/p>\n

Court records indicate Sherif was arraigned before District Judge Georgia L. Stone, who set bail at 10 percent of $1 million, which Sherif was unable to post and she was taken to the Delaware County prison to await a preliminary hearing on May 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Marcus Hook woman has been charged with the attempted homicide during a domestic in Upper Darby.
