READING, Pa. – Fans of Greek food are getting their fill in Reading this weekend.<\/p>\n
The Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Food Festival is back. This is the 56th year of the festival.<\/p>\n
A line formed to get in before the doors opened this afternoon.<\/p>\n
The menu includes the popular Greek chicken and fish platters, as well as gyros, fries and lots of desserts.<\/p>\n
Organizers say they’ve managed to hold the line on prices for the past three years.<\/p>\n
They say preparations started back in June, and everything is homemade.<\/p>\n
“It’s a true community effort between the ladies who do the baking, the men do the cooking, and there’s also planning for entertainment, all the supplies, it’s like putting on a Broadway production,” said Chris Dikos, festival chairman.<\/p>\n
The festival continues until 8:00 p.m. on Friday night.<\/p>\n
